To my cherished friends in the Leadership Institute,
I pray faithfully for God’s protection of you, your family, your church, and your friends that you will remain healthy in this world so diseased. If you know of anyone in our Institute family, who is not well, will you please inform me? Thanks.
We are eagerly awaiting Josh Bunce’s second class on Theology and Church History on June 1, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. central time. Josh Bunce, holding a Master of Divinity degree from George Fox Evangelical Seminary (Portland Seminary), teaches several courses in Christianity at Barclay College, among them a yearlong course in Theology and Church History. He is, therefore, well-qualified to teach our Leadership Institute course in Theology and Church History. I teach a course in Systematic Theology during the same two semesters that Josh teaches Church History, and I am impressed that often students in my classes refer to facts in Church History that they learned in Josh’s classes. He is a superb teacher. In fact, he was asked to make a presentation to the Barclay College faculty, explaining his method, content, and style of teaching. We all learned from Josh and found his suggestions helpful in our teaching. There are volumes of Church theological and historical facts in our Church’s two-thousand year history, but Josh has the expertise to focus on the most outstanding trends relevant to our church leadership today and articulate them clearly. He will do precisely this in his second presentation on June 1. He also has experience in giving leadership in other nations and can speak to our international Institute family.
We desire that as many of you as possible share in this learning experience, and we provide numerous opportunities for you to do so.
