Greetings, Leadership Institute friends,
Glenn Leppert has taken us on an adventuresome journey through the Old Testament and is now continuing that journey through the New Testament, which fulfills the prophecies that we have read from Israel’s history. In the New Testament course, we will discover more about Jesus’ life and ministry as portrayed in the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), the early church (in the Book of Acts), the letters of Paul, the General Letters, and Revelation. We have so much to look forward to, and Glenn will make the New Testament come alive in a new way. The first New Testament class will be November 2.
Glenn Leppert has expressed to me his enthusiasm about teaching our New Testament course, especially after a very successful experience of teaching the Old Testament course in which you, the Institute participants, were so responsive. I, too, am very enthusiastic as we continue to learn from this scholar of the Bible. Holding a doctoral degree and with many years of teaching the Bible at Barclay College, Glenn is well prepared to impart his wisdom to us. Not only has he taught at the college level, but also he teaches a weekly Sunday school class on the Bible at Haviland Friends Church, where he is often asked to preach Biblically-based, exegetical sermons in Sunday morning worship services. At Barclay College, Glenn has taught the comprehensive New Testament course and specific courses in the Books of Romans and Revelation. When he teaches Revelation to us, we will receive clarity on many of the passages, which are difficult to understand. Glenn will also be teaching from the Gospels, the Book of Acts, the letters of Paul, and the General Epistles. This class will be a strong beginning of our New Testament course.
The Good News of Jesus Christ, testified in the New Testament, is to be proclaimed among all people, so we are eager for as many as possible to hear him. We will be viewing the video recording from many sites worldwide. Here are some of them:
