The task of the EFC-MAYM Missions Mobilizers Team is to mobilize the churches of EFC-MAYM to be more informed and compassionate prayer warriors for Evangelical Friends Mission, to be more generous and faithful financial supporters sending and supporting missions, and to engage the church to be more active participants (in both going and sending) in fulfilling the Great Commission (Mt 28:19-20). The Great Commission is too big for anyone to accomplish alone and too important not to try to do together.
- …to mobilize the churches of EFC-MAYM to be more informed and compassionate prayer warriors for Evangelical Friends Mission
EFM mission statement: Our purpose and passion is to lead our people worldwide to live so close to Jesus Christ that we will worship, serve and obey God as faithful witnesses. We live and die for the cause of fulfilling the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. We exist to fuel a worldwide multiplication movement of worshipping, God-glorifying Evangelical Friends Churches through evangelism, leadership development and missionary-sending. www.friendsmission.com
The strategy of the EFC-MAYM Mission Mobilizers is to help our churches engage in missions through supporting EFM fields in a variety of different ways, ultimately to help fulfill the EFM mission. Our call and task is to mobilize our churches to support what God is doing through EFM. This also includes other missions projects that EFC-MAYM churches support like Friends of Kibimba Hospital and our ongoing relationship with our sister yearly meeting in Burundi (including the new Burundi Sister Church Project).
Are you a Missions Mobilizer?
Are you a Missions Mobilizer at your local church? Are you interested in partnering with others to become even more effective as senders and goers for missions? Contact the Missions Mobilizer Chairperson to find out more about ways you could serve your church or Mid America Friends as we get better together at obeying the great commissionand endeavoring to do it better together.

The Mobilizers seek to support and connect with every EFC-MAYM local church missions chairperson and missions board to help the local church more effectively support missions. This includes getting prayer supporters signed up for the EFM Prayer Focus and connected to EFM communications. Mobilizers want to help facilitate connections with the mission fields (through prayer, fundraising, support, and encouragement).
- …to be more generous and faithful financial supporters sending and supporting missions,
Missions Mobilizers want to help advertise, promote, fundraise and support special EFM projects like the Easter offering and Christmas offering. We want to encourage and challenge generous support to help fulfill the Great Commission. We want to help connect the local Friends Church to EFM. Mobilizers also help coordinate missionary deputation travel itineraries when our EFM missionaries visit Mid America churches.
- and to engage the church to be more active participants (in both going and sending) in fulfilling the Great Commission (Mt 28:19-20).
Mobilizers want to help each local church to find their unique way to contribute to the Great Commission. We believe that pointing local churches toward strategic partnerships with a particular mission field through the Design Your Impact (DYI) workshop is one of the best ways to make that possible. Contact the Ministry Center to inquire about having a DYI worship in your church.
Mobilizers support and advertise Saltshaker and other adult mission trip options provided by EFC-MAYM. We seek to facilitate and help finance short-term mission/prayer/exposure trips to EFM fields. We also aim to help recruit, support, and encourage future missionary candidates and even to prayerfully recommend new mission fields.
