Last month a group from EFC-MAYM joined with folks from Mexico in order to seek God’s will concerning potentially planting a new mission field in Mexico. During their 10-day trip they visited (16) cities in (3) states before returning to their homes. The group consisted of (16) individuals including Matt and Nathan Macy, and Trent Jacks from EFC-MAYM. Below is a statement from Maria Giron, as they concluded their visit as well as a picture of the team. Please continue to pray with us through this discernment process. Later this year we will be sending teams to South Sudan and Tanzania as we continue to seek God’s leading regarding planting new mission fields. Contact Matt Macy (matt@friendsmission.com) or Thayne Thompson (thayne@efcmaym.org) if you would like to be part of one of the upcoming exploratory trips.
“The group finished the trip with a time of reflection and debriefing in Guadalajara. In all we visited 16 communities, a Christian church, and pastors including a missionary couple to the Huichol people. While we have many stories and places to talk about, the team sensed a leading of the Holy Spirit in Tesistan, Jalisco as well as a few other places. Please pray for wisdom and clarity for Mexico City Yearly Meeting and EFM as we all continue this journey of spreading the good news and church planting in Mexico.”
