Enrollment opened in January, 2025 for an online Friends Preaching Initiative certificate program through Barclay College. This program is designed for active preachers in the Evangelical Friends Church and for aspiring preachers to foster compelling preaching in the Friends Church to help preachers proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in more engaging and effective ways. Designed to connect students to a deeper understanding of Christian theology as expressed through programmed evangelical Friends’ Faith and Practice, the certificate will be provided in both English and Spanish and features six courses: Speaking in Public Ministry, Hermeneutics, Homiletics 1 & 2, Preaching with Technology, and Friends Vocal Ministry. Two certificate classes will be offered each semester beginning January 2025. Each class will be eight weeks long and cost only $150 plus the cost of books.
