Carrie Corliss | Wichita Recovery Hub Coach
Wichita Recovery Hub, an EFC-MAYM Central Kansas Area Home Missions project led by Sue Banbury, is seeing God’s hand at work among those in addiction recovery. People in recovery need hope, healing, and restoration of broken relationships with God, self, others, and the rest of creation. To facilitate growth in healthy relationships, Wichita Recovery Hub plans to open a facility that will serve as a recovery resource hub, host 12-step meetings, including Al-Anon, CR, AA, CMA, and others every evening of the week, along with D4D, workshops and classes, worship nights, Bible studies, and a safe place to simply socialize over a snack, a game of pool, darts, or a board game.
The start-up of this project is supported through Partner Advisory Team members from Glen Elder Friends, Crossroads Friends, Communitas, Hutchinson Friends, and Pratt Friends. Northridge Friends Church and other Friends Churches across the region also graciously support the WRH in a number of ways. Please lift up this project and Sue, specifically, in your prayers. It is a battlefield. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10
