The KanOkla 100 Mile Highway Sale started out 18 years ago as a small-town event has evolved into a major annual event. I’m not sure when Bolton Community Friends got involved in the sale, but it is now an annual event on our calendar. We offer clean restrooms and a place to cool off or rest for those rushing from one yard sale to the next. We also sell donated rummage and offer space to those who want to sell for themselves they can. Carol has built quite a reputation with her cinnamon rolls. Quite a few stop by just to buy her cinnamon rolls. She offers single, half a dozen or full dozen. Any leftover rummage is donated to the Goodwill in Bartlesville, OK. We’ve met lots of good people over the years and enjoy visiting with them. The sale is a different type of ministry. Many in the church are involved and we do have fun. The money that is raised on the rummage is divided between Friends Women and Bolton Friends Church. Carol divides her income from the cinnamon rolls with the church. This is a “To God be the Glory” event and He has blessed.
