Run For Missions 2023

Plans for Run for Missions 2023 are in the works! This year’s event will be held Saturday, November 11th and will be run as a relay.  Many runners will run 10 legs of 10 miles each and hand off the baton to the next leg. Our goal would be to raise at least $1,000 per leg and hopefully much more!  We encourage you all to support your runners with pledges. We also welcome anyone that would like to run or walk a portion of any of these legs.

This year we will support the work of EFC Nepal.

Here is the current Run for Missions Plan:

2:00-4:00 Brockie Follette, Jesse Penna and Barclay College Students – 120 minutes – Starting at the Ross-Ellis building at Barclay

4:00-5:40 Mark Rucas – 100 minutes – Starting halfway between the 110^th and 120^th on W 1^st St between Haviland and Pratt

5:40-7:20 Mike Neifert – 100 minutes – Starting at the corner of W River Rd and W 1^st St just west of Pratt

7:20-9:20 Open – 120 minutes? – Starting at the corner of NE 70^th Ave and NE 10^th St between Pratt and Cunningham

9:20-10:30 Alex Zortman – 80 minutes – Starting at the corner of NW 180^th Ave and W 1^st St ½ mile west of Cunningham

10:30-1:00 Nancy Smelser and Friends Women – 150 minutes – Starting at the corner of NW 100^th Ave and NW 20^th St between Kingman and Cunningham

1:00-2:00 Alan Smelser, Nancy Smelser and Cathy Rucas on bikes – 60 minutes – Starting at the corner of N Broadway and NW 20^th St at the northeast corner of the Kingman Airport

2:00-4:00 Billy Peterson’s Group – 120 minutes – Starting at the corner of NE 100^th Ave and NW 20^th St between Kingman and Cheney

4:00-6:00 Northridge Friends Youth – 120 minutes – Starting at the corner of N 375^th St W and Central just north of Cheney

6:00-8:00 Open – 120 minutes? – Starting at the corner of S 231^st St W and Maple just northwest of Goddard

8:00-8:40 Last 3 miles (Everyone that wants to run) – 40 minutes – Starting at the corner of Ridge and Maple

We will have a tracking system in place so you can watch progress from Haviland to Wichita, and as they finish en masse for the last few miles to the Ministry Center! Or better yet, come on out on Saturday, anywhere on the route, and help cheer us on.
