Wards’ Weekly Update: Acts 29

By

Nick Ward with Orange County Project

“In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day when he was taken up…” Acts 1:1-2

(Left: Izzy Right: Viany giving instructions for the prayer walk at FCC)

Wow. Just today on our phone call with Ivan and Viany I jokingly said it feels like we are living in Acts 29 for the past week (Acts is only 28 chapters but it documents God’s amazing work through His church right after Jesus had ascended). Just today, Viany preached the gospel to a young lady who she previously met at our whiteboard – she had never heard the gospel before but has now repented and believed in the gospel and has come into God’s Kingdom! Our new friend from CSUF, Colt (Literally his name is Colt Danger- that is how you know God makes jokes!) has asked us to formally enter into discipleship with him and would like us to baptize him in the coming weeks in front of his fraternity and family; we are very excited!

We also welcomed a wonderful young evangelist named Belle into the new DMC we have planted at CSUF which has 6 young evangelists that have started to learn how to be and make disciples in everyday life together on campus. Yesterday, Ivan and I got to train the previous 6 graduates from DMC 1 at CSUF in their first Bible Dialogue Training – this was after we had the lovely time assisting Viany at FCC Brea where we took 25 people on a prayer walk training.

But my favorite part of the week?

Our little girl Izzy who just turned six shared the Gospel at her public school while waiting in line to be picked up by Jamie! She asked the little boy “questions to see if he knew that Jesus died and rose from the dead so he can be forgiven.” We cannot be prouder of our little girl and the way she is walking with our Lord.

Please pray for the DMC at CSUF to continue being fruitful in our disciple-making efforts.

Pray for this new believer to bear fruits of repentance and learn whatever God wants to teach her through Viany’s discipleship with her.

Pray for Izzy to continue sharing the good news in her public school with her friends as she grows in wisdom with people and God.

Pray for us to stay on task in launching people into prayer and evangelism wherever we go!

Our YouTube Channel

As most of you know we have been uploading Youtube videos weekly to our YouTube channel BUT something unexpected has happened. We have seen a huge explosion of Muslims coming onto our channel and making mocking comments on videos Ivan has uploaded where he speaks with Muslims. We are very excited about this because their engagement has boosted our channel to reach hundreds of more people around us (we thanked the Muslims for their help)! On our channel we recently uploaded the following videos:

Is Islam Reliable?

Are Allah’s words corrupted?

Why our Muslim friend is not Christian yet Pt 1 and Pt 2

Please continue to pray that these videos will continue to help reach our Muslims friends. Please also pray with us that God gives us one Muslim convert at CSUF to help reach other Muslims!

*Apprentice News:

*Noah has just reached full funding to start his apprenticeship with us in November! Respond to this email if you would also like his newsletter!
