A Great Cloud of Witnesses:
Finding Encouragement for Ministry from Those Who Have Gone Before Us

Guest Speaker | Rusty Savage

After two decades of ministry in northeast Ohio, Rusty Savage and his family moved to the plains of Kansas in the fall of 2024 to begin serving as Professor of Theology at Barclay College. Over the years, his
ministry roles have included: youth pastor, associate pastor, lead pastor, and denominational leader. As
Director of Multiplication for Evangelical Friends Church – Eastern Region, Rusty provided oversight in
the areas of church planting, global missions, and cross-cultural ministries while serving the pastors and churches of EFC-ER.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities at Barclay College, Rusty also currently serves as the Chair of the Board for Evangelical Friends Mission. His most cherished roles, however, are as husband to Kara and dad to their four children: Henry, Stella, Graham, and Claire. As the son,
grandson, and great-grandson of pastors himself, Rusty has a special concern for pastoral families and
the unique challenges and special joys they face together as they serve the Lord and His church.
