EFM is looking forward to the second EFM Worldwide Missionary Gathering, December 2-7, 2022 in Thailand! This is a very special time for the Friends missionary family, with focus on missionary care, missionary community, and missionary equipping. The first gathering was nine years ago, November 2013.
Mid America Friends has the opportunity to help send workers to serve and support the Missionary Gathering:
- We are sending three workers from Rose Hill Friends Church to Thailand to serve EFM’s youngest missionaries; the missionary children! Nancy Lawski, Tracy Mayes, and Hallie Mayes will be traveling to Thailand in December to work with Jan Cammack of Northwest Yearly Meeting, to provide ministry to missionary kids and provide childcare to missionaries in order to release missionaries to engage in the activities.
- We are sending Bobby Kirkpatrick from Friendswood Friends Church to Thailand to lead worship singing for the missionary sessions and to help engage the older missionary children.
We don’t take for granted that it takes a sacrificial sending church to support Friends missionaries on the field in prayer and finances, and we are thankful for all that the churches and individuals of Mid America Friends already do to support your/our missionaries.
As the Lord leads, would you please help us with the costs for sending these four? We have yet to raise $5,500 of the $8,000 needed.
