Dear Church Leadership Institute Friends,
What a great blessing for us in the Institute to have six Friends leaders, actively involved in church planting and the church multiplication ministry, be our teachers on June 1, 2015!
Drew Davenport is Associate Pastor of the Friends Community Church in Angleton, Texas. He and his father founded the Leadership Institute in 2001. As a bi-vocational pastor, Drew also has a very successful computer business. Through his generosity and computer expertise, Drew makes available on YouTube each month our Institute videos.
David Davenport is the Founding Pastor of the Friends Community Church in Angleton, Texas, which started as a church plant. David is a catalyst in the current church multiplication movement in south Texas. David is also a bi-vocational pastor.
Mark and Melissa Davenport (Mark is a cousin of Drew) have opened a new ministry in Delaware, where they are sharing the Gospel through a unique and attractive Missional/Incarnational model.
Karl Newmann, Pastor of Bayshore Friends Church and Superintendent of the Texas Area Friends Churches, is giving significant leadership in church planting in south Texas.
Don Owens, Outreach Pastor at Bayshore Friends Church and active in attendance for many years in the Church Leadership Institute for Ministry, has several innovative outreach ministries in south Texas.
The experiences of these church multiplication leaders are rich, and so will our class be. I encourage you to invite others to attend, especially Friends interested in evangelism, outreach, and church multiplication. This should include everyone in our churches.
To make attendance of the Institute classes easy for you, we offer them at several locations: Friends Community Church (Angleton), Friends Ministry Center (Wichita), Lighthouse Friends Church (at the home of Jerry and Mary Louthan), Bangor Liberty Friends Church, Fowler Friends Church, Barclay College (Jackson Hall), Faith Friends Church, North Newton (at the home of Merl and Eunice Kinser), Arkansas City Friends Church (at the home of Bud Lawrence), and Northwest Friends Church (at the home of Tom and Bonnie Bousman). Other sites which have the technology to see the Institute sessions include: Booker Friends Church, Miami Friends Church, Chandler Friends Church, Sudanese Community Church (Omaha), Iglesia Amigos (San Antonio), and Hesper Friends Church. Maybe you would like to hear the presentations at a different time. I mentioned that Drew makes available the videos of our Institute classes on YouTube, so that you can assemble a group at the time and location of your choice. Go here and click on the desired video. Vancouver Friends Church and Pratt Friends Church offer these recorded sessions for groups at the times which meet their church schedules.
