The 2026 Friends Women’s Retreat on September 18-20 was held in Kansas City at the Embassy Suites near the airport and was a beautiful expression of women joining together to lift up the name of Jesus, support missions, and pray for one another. Committee Co-Chairs Nancy Smelser and Betty Frazier did an excellent job. We were taught and encouraged by speaker Rebecca Ashbrook Carrell and led into worship by Stacey Wheeler and her daughter, Adele Brown. Over $5,000 was raised through the generosity of the silent auction for missions and expenses. We had multi-generational participation and fellowship.
Our 2027 retreat will be the weekend of September 17-19 at the Drury in Wichita, Kansas led by Committee Chair Alice Thompson. Save the Date! You will not want to miss it!
