Dennis McDowell | Western Area Superintendent Pastor of Fowler Friends Church
I sat there with tears slowly forming in my eyes. These weren’t tears of sadness, pain, or fear. They were tears that came from my spirit rejoicing in the presence of God during our Western Area Prayer Night on Sunday, November 1st.
Four Western Area churches gathered at Booker Friends for a wonderful evening of prayer. I want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Booker Friends for hosting us, helping lead such a Spirit-led time of prayer, and providing refreshments afterward.
There were prayers for healing, anointing, peace, over our country and our elections, and specific prayers for each of our twelve Western Area churches. There were also prophetic words spoken over our churches, our area, our ministries, and our desire for both physical and spiritual growth. We experienced moments of joy, amazement, and encouragement as we witnessed the Holy Spirit at work among us.
It is difficult to put into words everything that took place, but I left with a renewed appreciation for the importance of coming together as an Area of Friends churches, setting aside our individual church responsibilities and circumstances to seek God together.
I want to thank every person and every church that made the effort to participate. Your presence, your prayers, and your willingness to come together made this a truly special evening.
Once again, thank you, Booker Friends, for opening your doors and helping make this gathering possible. May God continue to bless your church and the ministry taking place there.
I look forward with great anticipation to seeing what God has in store for our Western Area as we continue to seek Him together.
