Sympathies

By

Charles Hansen

We want to express our deepest sympathies to the family of Kay Hansen from Willow Creek Friends Church on the loss of her husband Charles Hansen who went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 3rd.

He was an incredible husband, father, stepfather, grandfather and great grandfather. Please remember Kay and their family in your thoughts, prayers, and support. His memorial service was held at Willow Creek Friends Church, 9700 Wornall Rd., KC, MO, on September 5, 2026, and the graveside service was held at Northbranch Friends Cemetery, September 12, 2026. Pastor Jared Warner and Dave Boughter helped officiate the service. The hymns Great is Thy Faithfulness and All the Way My Savior Leads Me were sung with special music by his granddaughter, Meagan Dodson. Romans 14:7-12 were read to close the service. Charles will be greatly missed. Please keep Kay in your prayers.

Clifford Arndt

Our condolences go to Muriel Arndt and her family at the passing of her husband, Clifford. He passed on August 14, 2026 at the age of 86. Clifford and Muriel have been in assisted living since December 2025 in Stanwood, Washington. No services are planned until Muriel’s passing.

Clifford and Muriel began their pastoral ministry journey at Timber Friends Church in NWYM many years ago. They went on to pastor in MAYM for 4 years at Tonganoxie-2 years, Derby-1 year, and Roosevelt, Ok-1 year. They also served for 7 years in NWYM, and 10 years in RMYM. 21 years! They retired due to medical concerns.

Please keep the family in your prayers-Muriel and her adult children, Charles, David, Kandi, Randy, John, and Joanne(Miki).

Condolences may be sent to: Muriel Arndt, 20420 Marine Dr. Apt. CC111, Stanwood, Washington 98292.

Edith Williams

We are so sorry to hear that Edith Williams passed away on August 30th at the age of 94 and a half. She had resided in Miami, Oklahoma and had been in a nursing home since 2023.

Edith Marcella Williams was born on December 18, 1931 to Lewis and Mary Zinn near Urbana, Ohio. Edith was the 2nd of 9 children. She attended Friends Bible College in Haviland, Ks. where she met her husband, John Robert “Bob” Williams. They married on August 16, 1952. They raised 5 children together and were recorded together in FUM in 1956. They went on to pastor churches in MAYM-Prairie Center (3), Prairie Vale in Coldwater, KS (2), Rose Hill (4), Lowell (8), Tennessee Prairie in Baxter Springs (2) at the same time as Lowell, Wyandotte, Ok (6), Mt. Ayr (5), Wilmington YM in Ohio (5), Indiana YM (5), and 2 Christian churches (4 plus). They sometimes pastored churches separately and both Bob and Edith were obviously a testimony to the love they had for Jesus as they served so faithfully for 28 years in MAYM, and many more afterwards.

Condolences may be sent: to Marcia Kruse, 13200 S Hwy 137, Miami, Ok. 74354. Please pray for Marcia and her siblings-Miriam, Melva Ann, and Merleen and the extended family as they grieve this loss.
